4th of July Scramble

Pool Party

The pool party on June 6th hosted by the social club was a huge success. Thanks to all of our volunteers who helped out. We had a great turnout and everyone seemed to have a good time. It was an opportunity to show off our new umbrellas, lounge chairs, freshly painted wrought iron furniture and overall clean up around the pool. We had a moon bounce & slide for the kids which was very popular. We also served hotdogs and drinks and members took advantage of the beer cart. We are having another members pool party on Friday, July 10th starting at 7pm. The cost is $5 per person and this includes a hamburger dinner. Please join us and enjoy a summer evening by the pool.

Thanks to Missy Reynolds for taking all of these great pictures. If you have any pictures you would like to share, please let us know!

Our "New" Tennis Courts

BEFORE

AFTER
The resurfacing of the tennis courts is complete!  All four courts have been repaired and repainted.  They are ready for play.  We are currently working on our pricing for tennis memberships.  We are also finalizing our plan on how to operate the tennis courts to ensure that the courts are secure and the courts are only being used by our members.  Please stop by and take a look.   This is another wonderful amenity our club now has to offer.

Sprigging is underway!

Sprigging of the new grass began bright and early this morning.   There were many volunteers to show up and offer their help and they are very much appreciated.   As of about 2:30 on Tuesday, 10 holes have been completed.  Only 8 to go.  It has been a long and hot day but it will all be worth it in about 6 weeks.

Top dressing the putting green
These are the sprigs.

Friday's Storm

What a storm that blew through Hernando on Friday afternoon.  It is amazing how much damage can be done in such a short time.  As bad as it was, it could have been much worse so we are certainly grateful.  There is a lot of clean up to do.  I know many of you had a mess at home as well so thanks for your patience as our crews get this all cleaned up.  I heard we had a group of members coming through Olive Branch about the same time as the tornado.  Thankfully, they were able to seek shelter inside of a warehouse.  We are so thankful that everyone is ok.
